The Oregon Information Literacy Summit is a day for conversation about Information Literacy standards and practices in community colleges and four-year institutions. The Summit provides an opportunity for librarians and other faculty from across the state to share and generate ideas about IL instruction and practices. The 2008 Summit will include updates on several cooperative initiatives, a discussion of licensing materials for sharing, and activities focused on incorporating IL into writing courses, tutorials, and disciplines. We encourage you to bring a partner! If you are a librarian, consider inviting someone from your writing faculty or from another discipline who would like to be an IL partner. Space is limited, so please RSVP soon. If you have questions about the program or logistics of the Summit, or if you need help registering, please contact Michele Burke at
