Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) Workshop

Opportunity to Learn about Cross-Sector PLCs:

A key component of the Regional Promise Programs that focus on creating college going cultures is the creation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) of educators from higher education and high school.   Some of the most successful PLCs have been in writing.  We invite writing faculty from across Oregon to come to Redmond and learn about the Regional Promise Pillars and the journey of Cascades Commitment to create alternative pathways to dual credit and share your journey and strategies for success.  Find out about how the partnership in Central Oregon is expanding beyond dual credit to impact writing at all levels of high school and share resources and ideas about how to develop successful collaborative partnerships that make a true impact on student learning.  We’ll develop a space to share resources across colleges.

When: Sept 29th, 2017

Where: High Desert Education Service District. 2804 SW Sixth St. Redmond OR. 97756

Cost: Free and travel reimbursement
